Description
Rabbit/Hare Rigged and Hopping
This digital 3D model of a rabbit that has been produced in Blender and has been tested on versions 2.79b and 2.83.2 LTS. Consisting of realtime and high-resolution meshes, rigged and animated with a loopable hopping animation. The high res version also includes fur. The realtime model can be adapted for use in games and other applications and is made up of only 1,334 polygons and 1,324 vertices.
The base mesh can also be subdivided into a high resolution model that is Shrinkwrapped to a sculpted character consisting of millions of polygons (sculpt data is included). This can be used for close up shots and cinematic realism or discarded if you only wish to use the realtime model. The setup is non-destructive and therefore both realtime and high res versions can be used independently.
The UV’s are unwrapped and non-overlapping, with seams primarily in occluded areas. UV islands maximize on 0 to1 UV space. The model’s edge loops are placed with particular consideration for deformation during animation and the model subdivides perfectly. As high res sculpt data is included, a varying Level Of Detail (LOD) can also be used for the model during rendering, which includes multiple 4K textures and a complex Physically Biased Rendering (PBR) node network with Difuse, Fresnel, Sub-Surface Scattering (SSS), Hair and Normal maps of which all properties are very editable and non-destructive.
A loopable hop-cycle is also included with a Soft Body (SB) vertex group that can be used for simulating dynamic secondary animation.
